Graduates of the Next Tour Guide Training Course at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage Receive Their Diplomas

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–269 dated July 18, 2024 — “On Measures to Improve the System of Training Personnel in the Field of Tourism,” the task of training guide-interpreters and tour guides at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was established for the period 2024–2026.

Within the framework of this resolution, the “Tour Guide Training Course” began operating at the university in September 2024.

For the third group of students, who studied from April to August 2024, a high-quality and intensive 16-week training program was organized. The classes were conducted by experienced professors, qualified guides, and tourism specialists. The training included both theoretical and practical components, and students had the opportunity to gain hands-on experience at historical and cultural sites in the Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khorezm regions, as well as in the cities of Tashkent and Shakhrisabz.

As a result, the trainees acquired deep knowledge and skills in the tourism field and successfully completed the course.

On September 16, 22 graduates of the third group were awarded diplomas in “Tour Guiding” during a formal ceremony. This program represents an important step in preparing highly qualified specialists who are fluent in foreign languages and will contribute to the sustainable development of the tourism industry in our country.
