From November 23rd, the first MidTerm exams for the 2020/2021 academic year have begun for students of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism. The exams continue until November 27th (incl.).

It is advisable to choose a certain form of testing the knowledge, skills and abilities of students for systematic control over the achievement of mandatory learning outcomes during the educational process. Mandatory learning outcomes are the minimum required for further education, meeting the program requirements for the level of training of students.

The goal of each teacher is to ensure that each student has mastered the most important knowledge and skills for further successful study. If a student does not receive a MidTerm grade, it is necessary to organize the revision of the material and its re-examination.

World Children’s Day

World Children's Day is widely celebrated annually on November 20. In 1954, the UN General Assembly recommended that all countries accept this date as children’s day and create a prosperous life for them in all corners of the world.

On this occasion, the “Silk Road” International Tourism University held a charity event. So, adhering to the established quarantine measures, a volunteer group of 6 people was assembled, the main task of which was to visit the Samarkand Orphanage No. 1, located on the Dahbed street. Previously, thanks to the efforts and good nature of all employees of the university, a sufficient amount of funds was collected, which subsequently acquired the necessary warm hats and scarves for the children of the orphanage. Before visiting the orphanage, the volunteers had an amazing meeting with a such good-natured person - Kamariddinov Dilshod, who donated most of the gifts (more than 80 pieces) to the children of the orphanage.

Arriving at the orphanage No. 1, the volunteers were greeted by director Mavjuda Farkhodovna, who invited the guests to the hall full of children. The Chairman of the Women’s Council of the University M.Abbasova, and the Head of the Youth policy Department U.Tuygunov sent their warm wishes and congratulations to the children. Also, representatives of the university expressed their readiness to conduct an excursion over the university smart-campus for the children of the orphanage.

Every color and symbol on the National Flag carries a deep meaning. They personify the noble ideas of the centuries-old national statehood, natural, national and spiritual characteristics of the country. The Law “On the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” defines the color-schematic procedure for the image and installation of this national symbol.

Blue is a symbol of clear sky and water. White as a symbol of peace and purity opens the way for the noble aspirations of the people of Uzbekistan. Green symbolizes renewal and youth, embodies the picturesque nature of the region. Red stripes - blood flowing in the veins of people, reminiscent of freedom-loving ancestors, a symbol of vital power and eternity. A young crescent means peace and tranquillity reigning in the country, as well as a new era in the history of the state. Twelve stars are a symbol of a clear, cloudless sky, perfection, wisdom.

Respect for the National Flag and its veneration, created on the basis of historical values, symbolizing the past, present and future, is the sacred duty of every citizen.
