In order to implement the tasks of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.Mirziyoyev to ensure the employment of students of higher educational institutions, on October 27 this year, at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage was organized a “Career-2022/2023” job fair.

On October 24-26 of this year, Haydarov Sarvar, the youth leader of the university, is participating in the forum of youth leaders of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Youth camp located in the Bustonliq district of Tashkent region. Within the framework of the forum, master classes on the topics of leadership skills, project management and meaningful organization of free time of young people are being organized.

On October 10-11, at the sports hall of the Silk Road University, a Badminton Master Class was held for the students team of the University to improve the skill level of our students. The master class was held with the participation of the Chairman of the Badminton Federation of the Samarkand region Timofeev Ulyan Petrovich. As a result of this event, the students of the University learned new technical and tactical techniques, which contribute to the further development of badminton at the University and increase the level of the team's game for participation in the Universiade.

" Debate club " has started its activities with the participation of "Silk road" International  University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The main goals of the club are to broaden students' horizons on various topics and to develop critical thinking.

According to the letter No. 2/18-1/2-9 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of October 14, 2022, on October 25, 2022, Chairman of the Council of Women and Girls of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage M. Abbasova and active women,girls' roundtable discussion has been held on the topic "We are against violence" in order to improve the moral environment among women and protect women from oppression and violence. During the discussion the company "16 against days to violence" and issues such as protecting students from harassment and violence have been discussed.Regarding this topic, the head of the faculty R. Toshniyozova, the head of the department for working with youth in the commitee N. Abduvakhidova and other active leaders of the university exchanged detailed views on the cases of harassment and violence against female students, protection from them, the role of women and men in society. Proposals and comments were made at the roundtable discussion, and solutions to existing problems have been given. During the roundtable discussion, the "Smart Women" club was formed within the Council, and the members of the club have been appointed.
For information: 1006 hotline and @himoya_otv_bot have been established in the system of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education for women to report when they encounter various forms of violence.

A chess tournament was held among students at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Chess-loving students from the Faculty of Tourism Management of the university took part in the tournament. According to the results of the debates, which took place in an upbeat spirit, 1st-year student Abdusalimov Nurbek took 1st place, 2nd-year student Rakhmatov Lazizjon took 2nd place, 3rd place Yoldoshev Shahriddin, a student of the -course, won the 3rd place.

An extended meeting of the Department of “Languages” of the Faculty of “Tourism Management” of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage will take place.

Discussion of the dissertation and abstract of the independent researcher of the Department of “Languages” Akramova Takhmina Kamildjonovna for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 10.00.06 – comparative literature, comparative linguistics and translation studies on the topic “Ideological and artistic images in the works of Edgar Allan Poe and ways to recreate them in translation”.

2. Discussion of the dissertation and abstract of the independent researcher of the Department of “Languages” Abduvahabova Umeda Mamatyusupovna for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 10.00.06 – comparative literature, comparative linguistics and translation studies on the topic "Pragma-stylistic means of depicting human wealth in the originals and translations of the works of Herbert E.Bates".

In connection with the widespread celebration of "October 21 - Uzbek language holiday" and holding it at a high level the Department of Languages and IT staff prepared a video dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of granting the Uzbek language the status of the state language with the participation of faculty, staff and students of "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

It was also attended by teachers and students of the university.

At the beginning of the event, it was noted that attention to our native language, which combines the nationality, identity and all the values of our people, has increased today more than ever. In particular, it was cited as a fact that today 50 million people around the world speak Uzbek.

Artistic performances prepared by students and theater workers inspired the participants.
