At “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, on the initiative of the Department of “Languages” ​​and the Department of “Youth Work in Mahallas and Activities”, an intellectual game “Language Experts” is organized among university students.

In the game “Zakovat” about 50 participants tested their knowledge of the language, the Uzbek language and lexicology. By the decision of the jury, the 1st place was taken by the “Omicron” team, the 2nd place by the “Pantagram” team, and the 3rd place by the “Urfan” team. On October 18 of this year, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, Mr. Yoshinori Fujiyama, visited the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

During the visit, Mr. Yoshinori Fujiyama had an official conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the “Silk Road” University A.Abdukhakimov. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation in the educational field. On Oktober 20, 2022, at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Department for "Work with mahals, youth and organization of events" held an event for students dedicated to the development strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.

During the event, the head of the Department for "Work with mahals, youth and organization of events" N.Abduvakhidova showed a presentation "The development strategy of the new Uzbekistan", which states that systematic work was carried out to ensure human rights, strengthen accountability and openness of state bodies, increase the role of civil society institutions, Mass Media information, political activity of the population and public associations.

In the direction of reforming the national economy, effective measures have been taken to liberalize foreign trade, tax and financial policies, support entrepreneurship and guarantee the inviolability of private property, organize deep processing of agricultural products, as well as ensure accelerated development of regions.

Strengthening social protection of citizens and reducing poverty have been identified as priority areas of state policy, providing the population with new jobs and a guaranteed source of income, qualified medical and educational services, and decent living conditions have been raised to a qualitatively new level.

As a result of the reforms over the past five years, the country has created the political, legal, socio-economic, scientific and educational foundations necessary for building a New Uzbekistan.

As a result, in our country there was a need to move to the next stage of development of society. That is, in order to identify priority areas of reforms aimed at further improving the standard of living of our people, the transformation of industries and spheres of the economy, accelerated development of entrepreneurship, unconditional protection of human rights and interests and the formation of an active civil society, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the “New Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026”, and also approved the program "The Year of ensuring human Interests and Mahalla Development".

From October 6 to 9 this year, the head of the Department of Scientific Research N.Mansurova and the head of the Department of History and Cultural Heritage M.Sidikova took part in the VI International Congress on the Study of Gastronomic Tourism, held in the city of Afyon-Karakhisar (Turkey).

During the three-day scientific sessions, representatives of the “Silk Road” University made such reports as "Gastronomy tourism in Uzbekistan" - M.Sidikova, "Characteristics and development trends of gastronomical tourism in the global economy" - N. Mansurova. Experts in this field were able to establish close friendly relations and share their experience in the field of gastronomy.

In total, more than 132 articles were submitted with the participation of more than 200 scientists from countries such as India, Bangladesh, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Great Britain, Tunisia, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, etc.

The purpose of this congress is to promote gastronomic research, unite researchers related to this field and expand academic cooperation in the center of gastronomic tourism.
