Hold books while traveling

On April 13th of this year, teachers of the “Languages” faculty Baymatova M.A. and Akramova T.K. held an open lesson with first-year students in the university library on the topic: “Hold books while traveling”.

Students shared their opinions about the importance of books in travel. The lesson was held in an interactive form, the participants discussed topical issues of tourism.

A week of practical classes

On April the 12th of this year, by the initiative of university teachers Akramova T., Yusupova U. and Baymatova M., students of the Tour-221 and Smart-121 groups visited the Mausoleum of Amir Temur, in order to gain knowledge and information about the preservation of Cultural Heritage within the framework of the planned practical classes.

It is worth noting that conducting such classes plays a huge role for future personnel in the field of tourism and cultural heritage.

ANNOUNCEMENT!

On April 15-16, 2022, it is planned to hold special training seminars at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage for all interested youth, students and other interested persons. This seminar is organized by the “Center for the Promotion of Economic Development of the Regions” by order of the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The training seminar will be useful for students who have their own “Start-up” projects and proposals for the development of the tourism sector in order to continue working in this field with excellent knowledge and skills in the future. 

The training seminar is conducted by qualified personnel with many years of experience, in particular, the teaching staff of the Academy of Public Administration of the Republic of Uzbekistan, higher educational institutions, as well as specialists with many years of experience in the field of tourism.

Participants of the seminar registered at the training will be issued a state license and a certificate for activities in the field of tourism.

At the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the intellectual game “Zakovat” is constantly held in order to effectively spend students’ leisure time and students’ activities.

In order to popularize intellectual games among young people, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, from 2022-2023 academic year, a monthly scholarship will be provided for members of teams that have become winners and prize-winners of the republican stage of the intellectual game “Zakovat” and other similar ones during the year.

At the republican stage of intellectual games, the “Zakovat Scholarship” is distributed as follows:

- For students who took 1st place, a scholarship in the amount of five basic calculated value (BCV) (currently 1,350,000 soums);

- For students who took 2nd place, a scholarship in the amount of four BCV (currently 1,080,000 soums);

- For who took 3rd place, a scholarship in the amount of three BCV (currently 810,000 soums).

Recall that the Decree of the President from 2022/2023 academic year provides for the establishment of a scholarship “Zakovat” for students who won the republican stage of intellectual games. In order to further develop intellectual games in the country, 50 billion soums will be allocated from the state budget for the Zakovat Intellectual Club organization this year.

A vivid expression of attention to education was the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to develop the sphere of education, upbringing and science of Uzbekistan in a new period of development" dated November 6, 2021. In particular, this document plays an important role in the development of cooperation between schools and higher education institutions, as well as in further strengthening the integration of educational institutions.

Students of schools and technical schools are invited to the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage on a permanent basis, who get acquainted with the educational process and the life of university students, as well as with the infrastructure of the Smart Campus.

In particular, on April 13, 2022, students of school №35 of the city of Samarkand visited the “Silk Road” University. The guests were provided with information about the activities of the university, its traditions, values and teaching staff.

It was emphasized that the existing training and practice centers at the university can be used as training grounds not only by students, but also by schoolchildren who are passionate about the tourism sector.

The students were told that all conditions have been created at the university for young people interested in tourism to study this area from the inside, to be able to replenish their knowledge, in particular, using the limitless potential of the extensive campus library.

From April 8 to 10, 2022, a 3rd-year student of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage  Ramzidin Ergashev took an active part in the International Conference: "Water crisis and Climate Change", held in the Osh city in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan.

The purpose of this Conference is to raise awareness and expand the knowledge of university students and high school students, activists from Central Asia and Afghanistan on the issues of the water crisis and climate change in Central Asia and Afghanistan, to work out a model format for UN debates with delegates from five countries of Central Asia and Afghanistan, as well as to develop project proposals aimed at promoting dialogue on peacebuilding, conflict resolution and innovative approaches to solving water problems in communities, submitted for funding by the C5+1 Youth Council.

Ramzidin Ergashev was selected among 1000 applicants and won a scholarship to participate in the Conference. Consequently, all expenses were covered by the organizers.

According to the results of the Conference, the project of the group, which consisted of a student of the "Silk Road" University, took first place in the competition.

It is worth noting that the project on the topic: “Raising awareness of high school students about the water crisis” will be funded by the US Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic.

On April 11, 2022, in order to ensure the fulfillment of the tasks defined by the state program approved by Annex2 to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 28, 2022 No. UP-60 "On the new Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026", was held a spiritual and educational event at the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. Topic: "The Timurid Renaissance in the new development strategy of Uzbekistan".

During the event, was noted that the idea of creating a New Uzbekistan and the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to create a Third Renaissance foundation have become a reality today, the words of the New Uzbekistan and the Third Renaissance sound harmoniously in our lives, inspire our people to achieve great goals.

After the election of Shavkat Mirziyoyev as President of our country, was developed a document entitled “Strategy of actions on five priority areas of development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2022-2026”, consisting of comprehensive measures. The implementation of this strategy has radically reformed all spheres of state and public life, completely changed our society.

On April 11, 2022, at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Department for "Work with mahals, youth and organization of events" held an event for students dedicated to the development strategy of the New Uzbekistan for 2022-2026.

During the event, the head of the Department for "Work with mahals, youth and organization of events" N.Abduvakhidova showed a presentation "The development strategy of the new Uzbekistan", which states that systematic work was carried out to ensure human rights, strengthen accountability and openness of state bodies, increase the role of civil society institutions, Mass Media information, political activity of the population and public associations.

In the direction of reforming the national economy, effective measures have been taken to liberalize foreign trade, tax and financial policies, support entrepreneurship and guarantee the inviolability of private property, organize deep processing of agricultural products, as well as ensure accelerated development of regions.

Strengthening social protection of citizens and reducing poverty have been identified as priority areas of state policy, providing the population with new jobs and a guaranteed source of income, qualified medical and educational services, and decent living conditions have been raised to a qualitatively new level.

As a result of the reforms over the past five years, the country has created the political, legal, socio-economic, scientific and educational foundations necessary for building a New Uzbekistan.

As a result, in our country there was a need to move to the next stage of development of society. That is, in order to identify priority areas of reforms aimed at further improving the standard of living of our people, the transformation of industries and spheres of the economy, accelerated development of entrepreneurship, unconditional protection of human rights and interests and the formation of an active civil society, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved the “New Development Strategy of Uzbekistan for 2022-2026”, and also approved the program "The Year of ensuring human Interests and Mahalla Development".
