Eltazarov Juliboy Danaboevich - First vice-Rector of the International “Silk Road” University of Tourism, was born in 1960 in Farish district of Jizzak region, Uzbek, has a higher education, in 1985 graduated from the Faculty of Uzbek-Tajik philology of Samarkand State University (SamSU), majoring in Philology and teaching. Doctor of Philological sciences, professor. Married, has 3 children.
Eltazarov J.D. is characterized as a competent, highly qualified specialist and a demanding manager. Well versed in the issues of research work and problems of the educational process in HEIs. Having 32 years of experience in higher education, Eltazarov J.D. has passed all stages of research, professional training and scientific and pedagogical activity. Previous years he worked as a lecturer, associate professor and head of the department of Uzbek linguistics, dean of the faculty of philology and showed himself as a highly professional specialist. In terms of his professional and personal qualities, he is able to organize research and training activities in accordance with the modern requirements. In 2005-2007- and 2016-2020-years Prof. Eltazarov J.D. worked at the position of Dean of the Philology Faculty of SamSU.
A characteristic feature of Eltazarov's activity is the successful cooperation with foreign universities and scientific centers where Uzbek language and literature, languages and cultures of Central Asian people are studied and taught.
In 1999-2000, Eltazarov J.D. worked as a professor in the Department of Central Asian Studies at Busan University Foreign Studies (Republic of Korea), and in 2003 and 2005 he taught Uzbek, Turkish, Russian and Uyghur languages at Berlin Humboldt University, in 2007-2010, 2013 at Osaka University and Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (Japan), 2010-2014 at Mugla Sitki Kochman University (Republic of Turkey). During his work in foreign universities, he published Uzbek language textbooks for Japanese and Turkish universities, as well as numerous scientific works on language and literature, history and ethnography of the Uzbek and Central Asian people. He has participated in numerous scientific projects with foreign partners and has established a reputation as a competent scholar and patriot of his country.
Up to this period he has published 15 monographs, textbooks and more than 150 scientific articles in Uzbek, Russian, Turkish, English, Japanese and other languages in different countries of the World.
Eltazarov J.D. is an active initiator of innovations, an inspirer of modern pedagogical and multimedia technologies in the educational process. On his initiative, were organized a Computerized Language laboratory by foreign grants, the International electronic scientific journal "Til, ta’lim, tarjima" ("Language, education, translation") at the Faculty of Philology SamSU- and several International Conferences on the study of languages and cultures of the Central Asian people, and on the history of education in Uzbekistan in cooperation with foreign scientific centers.
Eltazarov J.D. is an expert and member of the editorial board of leading foreign scientific journals in Linguistics and Turkology.
Being humble at daily life, Eltazarov J.D. has high moral qualities. He shows politeness and tactfulness in the treatment of others. He is respected and highly valued in his team and place of residence.
