Position Title: Deputy Director for Academic Affairs
Education: Higher education degree
Specialization: Marketing, Economics, Tourism, Management (additional points will be given to candidates who graduated from higher education institutions on the TOP-1000 list).
Work experience: Must have at least 3 years of work experience in the field of higher education.
Foreign language proficiency: Knowledge of Russian and English, English (IELTS 6.0 or a certificate of foreign language proficiency issued by a state testing center at CEFR B2 level).
Computer literacy: Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point), office programs, ability to use the Internet and practical skills in working with a computer.
Job Responsibilities: Organize the implementation of the laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decrees and orders of the President, resolutions of the Oliy Majlis and the Cabinet of Ministers in the field of education and personnel training;
Organize educational, scientific, financial and spiritual-educational work and ensure the training of qualified personnel based on state educational standards;
Ensure that all deans and departments, heads of departments and teachers fully understand the complex of requirements for the content of knowledge and the level of training in accordance with state educational standards;
Study the development trends of the education system of advanced countries, develop methods and tools for implementing the tasks specified in the Law "On Education", the "National Program for Personnel Training" and other laws on education, and ensure their implementation;
Organization of the introduction and effective use of advanced forms of teaching in the educational process, including distance learning, new pedagogical and information and communication technologies;
Preparation of proposals and organization of work on the direction of activity;
Coordination, organization and control of the work of departments and deaneries that ensure the educational process; Improving the quality of classes, monitoring and ensuring the implementation of personal plans of professors and teachers;
Organizing educational and scientific conferences, leading the work of the methodological council of the academy and improving pedagogical skills, generalizing advanced methodological experiences;
Carrying out general management of the process of preparing and publishing educational and methodological and scientific work materials, including journals and collections of scientific works by the academy's employees, and replenishing the library fund with educational and methodological and scientific periodicals in all areas of educational and scientific activity of the academy;
Managing and assisting the processes of searching, selecting and working with talented young people, managing the process of preparing laureates of prestigious scholarships named after the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Navoi, Beruni, Ulugbek, Zulfiya and others from among students and interns-researchers-seekers;
Develop proposals for the staffing of professors and teaching assistants, organize work on providing departments and departments with qualified personnel;
Prepare proposals for recruiting vacant positions on a competitive basis, hiring interns, researchers, and masters, develop and lead the implementation of plans to improve the teaching staff and improve their qualifications;
Develop issues of efficient use of classrooms, improving the technical equipment of auditoriums and laboratories;
Prepare proposals for taking action against employees who violate performance discipline, and terminate their contracts with them;
Prepare proposals for the establishment of faculties and departments in cooperation with similar higher educational institutions of foreign countries in order to improve the content of education and ensure the training of specialists in accordance with international requirements;
Conducting annual activity reports of departments, faculties and departments, analyzing and drawing conclusions, evaluating the educational and methodological activities of professors and teachers using modern methods;
Carrying out constant cooperation with higher educational institutions in the educational and methodological direction, ensuring the active participation of professors and teachers in conferences and seminars, working with local authorities;
Determining the annual rating of a higher educational institution in accordance with the established procedure, analyzing it, and carrying out work on improving its activities;
Actively participating in the regular internal certification of Samarkand State University in accordance with the established procedure, preparing for and conducting external certification.
