On September 20-23 of the current year, in the framework of the project “Supporting economic reforms and sustainable economic development in the regions of Uzbekistan” of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), workshops on organization and improvement of block training of dual education in Margilon Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage were held.

Mrs. Li Li NG, an expert of Leo Impact Consulting GmbH, which implements the project on introduction of separate elements of dual education in the system of vocational education, conducted this practical training for teachers and management staff of Margilon Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Andijan College of Tourism and Service and Khiva Technical College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

These training and practical sessions will be continued on the basis of practical laboratories to be organized on 25-27 September at the Andijan College of Tourism and Service.

In accordance with the decree of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations dated 6 March 2023 № 44 in order to coordinate the work on scientific and methodological assistance to professional educational institutions, on 25 September of this year, the first vice-rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Prof. J.Eltazarov and the head of the department of Tashkent City Territorial Department of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations T.Ruzikulov visited Tashkent Technical College of Tourism and Hotel Management.

        During the visit, they were familiarised with the existing material and technical base of the educational institution, including educational practice, library and computer classes. During the visit, the works carried out on the basis of the set tasks were discussed, the tasks on updating of curricula in educational areas and creation of joint educational and scientific literature were defined.

On September 23 of this year, headed by the first vice-rector of “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, Professor J.Eltazarov, university staff visited young people in need of support and attention from the public, living in the mahalla “Kushchinor”. University staff first visited the apartments of Berdimurodova Gulnoza and Khodjaev Mumin, where they got acquainted with the way of life, problems, interests and plans for the future of young residents of this mahalla.

This initiative of the university staff is aimed at supporting young people who face difficulties in life. At the end of the meeting, the university staff presented books to the young residents, encouraging them to education and development.

During the meeting, J.Eltazarov expressed hope that this is the beginning of long-term cooperation with the youth of “Kushchinor” mahalla, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility of the university. He also emphasized that support and attention to youth is an investment in the future and development of society.

On September 21 of this year, a critical-analytical meeting dedicated to the issues of solving the problems facing the university in 2023/2024 was held in “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

The first vice-rector of the university J.Eltazarov led the meeting. It was noted that in this academic year the university staff faces a number of urgent tasks, in the performance of which first of all requires the observance of strict labor discipline. It was also said that teachers should work more on themselves, give students deep knowledge with careful preparation for the process of classes, as well as rationally use the opportunities of rich scientific literature library.

In the meeting, also,  the problems and their solutions at the faculty, departments and branches were addressed by N.Abduvokhidova, head of the department for youth work and events, R. Toshniyozova, dean of the Faculty of Tourism Management, A.Gadoev, head of the Financial Business Department, A. Odilov, T.Sultanov, M.Siddikova, heads of the departments, A. Tukhtamishov, head of the department of quality assurance and accreditation of education, A.Sultanov, head of HoRiCa Academy  and others presented information on the agenda issue. At the meeting, the quality of education in the previous academic year was analyzed in a critical and analytical spirit, and necessary tasks were given to eliminate existing problems and shortcomings in this academic year. At the meeting, M. Rozikov, Advisor to the Rector of the university for Youth Work, spoke on measures to prevent predisposition to religious extremist sentiments among the public and youth.

 Measures were outlined on the issues discussed in the meeting, and necessary instructions and tasks were given to the officials.

On September 21 of this year the delegation headed by the rector of Kharkiv National University of Ukraine Tatyana Kaganovska visited our university, first vice rector of the university, Professor J.Eltazarov welcomed the guests. At first, the guests received full information about the large-scale work carried out to train specialists in the field of tourism and cultural heritage at our university. Then there was an exchange of views on the training of tourism specialists on the basis of cooperation. The guests also had a meeting with the vice-rector for Academic Affairs of our university J.Hoffman.

 The Youth Union of  Uzbekistan "Silk Road" International University of  Tourism and Cultural Heritage Primary Organization Council’s Youth leader S. Haydarov, within the framework of the "Orientation days", gave information to all freshman students about student clubs and projects for students  in 7 directions that organized at the University on the base of  joint decision of Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the Central Council of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan declared on March 29, 2023 "On measures to improve the activities of primary organizations in higher education institutions of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan".

        It was explained that students can join various competitions and clubs organized by the youth council of the university along with studying at the university. The coordinators of each direction gave detailed information about  the directions.

As part of the events of the acquaintance week, the vice-chairman of the university sports club Z.Kafiev introduced the 1st year students to the conditions created in the swimming pool and gym of the university in order to form a healthy competitive environment among young people and increase their interest in mass sports. He invited students interested in sports and swimming to take part in the work of clubs organized at our university and answered the questions asked.
