The “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage announces an article competition “Mirzo Ulugbek’s successors” designed to allow students and young people to study the activities of Mirzo Ulugh Beg, comprehend his outstanding life and work, deeply analyze his rich scientific legacy, and the scientific works, ideas, and dedication he left behind. The competition will be held in 3 stages.
1 — university stage;
2 — republican qualifying stage;
3 — republican final stage.
Contest participants will write an article on an optional topic about the life and activities of Mirzo Ulugbek, his contribution to science. 1 article that won at the university stage will be sent to the republican qualifying stage, stage 2. Articles that successfully passed the qualifying stage will be sent to the 3rd stage and will be reviewed by the Jury. The winning articles will be rewarded as follows:
1st place - 5,000,000 soums;
2nd place - 4,000,000 soums;
3rd place - 3,000,000 soums.
1st-4th year university students can participate in the competition with their articles. Articles must be written in Uzbek and Karakalpak languages (in Latin script). Articles will be accepted until March 10, 2026 via the telegram address https://t.me/n_xoliqov

Requirements for article:
- Article materials must be submitted electronically in Word 2003 or 2007 format, using Times New Roman font, 14-point type, with a 1.5 cm line spacing, and pages with 2.5 cm left and top margins and 2 cm bottom and right margins.
- The article title must be written in bold capital letters on the first line, centered on the page. The author's last name, first name, and patronymic must be on the second line. The author's place of work, position, academic degree, and rank must be on the third line. The text must be on the fourth line.
- The main text must be written with a 1.5 cm line spacing, 1 cm line spacing, and automatic word wrap.
- A complete bibliography must follow the main text.
- References to sources and bibliography must be visible in the main text.
- Submitted articles should not exceed 4-6 pages in length.
- Articles are accepted in Uzbek and Karakalpak (in the Latin alphabet).
- Annotations and keywords are required.
- Conclusions and proposals must be provided.
- The text must be scientifically and methodologically edited.
- Articles that meet the requirements and have passed the editorial board's review are recommended for the next stage.
- Articles by winning participants in the national final round will be published in the popular science, educational, methodological, and spiritual education journal "Youth and Science" of the Center for Enhancement of Social Activity of School children.
