The Dean's Office of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage is an academic and administrative division of the university. In accordance with the National Program for Personnel Training, it is responsible for educating students in relevant fields of study and specialties, ensuring the integrated and harmonious conduct of educational and upbringing processes, training scientific-pedagogical personnel, professional development, and international student exchange, as well as coordinating educational activities of departments.
Duties and functions of the Dean's Office:
Assisting students in their moral and intellectual development, nurturing patriotism, a sense of citizenship, tolerance, respect for laws, national and universal values; educating them to resist harmful influences and ideologies, to possess firm beliefs and outlooks on life, to be aware of their responsibilities to the state and society, and to embrace humanitarian values, interethnic harmony, justice, and the rule of law;
Actively involving students in academic and creative activities, organizing various scientific and innovative events and fostering collaboration;
Evaluating the quality of students’ academic performance, conducting analysis, and effectively organizing other instructional and methodological activities related to the educational process;
Establishing clubs based on students’ interests, particularly aimed at developing analytical thinking in tourism and cultural heritage specialties, and organizing events to engage students in meaningful extracurricular activities;
Preparing talented students to participate in international and national olympiads, competitions, and contests;
Systematically organizing various creative and innovative events with youth participation, such as conferences, forums, seminars, training sessions, and other activities;
Ensuring that students have broad access to global information, legal, and educational resources;
Developing proposals to enhance students’ interest in gaining knowledge, skills, and competencies;
Analyzing the results of current, mid-term, and final assessments in cooperation with relevant academic departments and units;
Organizing direct meetings with students to gather their feedback on the quality of the educational process during the semester.
