The Sports Training Department was developed to ensure the implementation of the Regulations of the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage No. SR-01 dated October 5, 2023.

Objectives, tasks and functions of the Sports Training Department:

1. The purpose of the “Sports Training” Department:

To develop physical education and sports among all levels of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, both physically and intellectually;1.3) increase employability;

1.4) prevention of harmful habits and various diseases and formation of healthy lifestyle skills;

1.5) strengthening of such qualities as willpower, self-confidence and self-reliance in students through sports competitions, development of courage, patriotism and loyalty to the Motherland in them;

1.6) organization of systematic work on the selection of talented athletes from among students and young people.

2. The tasks of the “Sports Training” department are as follows:

2.1) expanding the ranks of university members involved in physical education and sports;

2.2) increasing the level of physical capabilities of university members;

2.3) to ensure that university members are physically strong, fit and healthy, to engage in sports, and to incorporate physical education and sports into their daily lives;

2.4) to improve the knowledge and skills of university members in the field of physical education and sports;

2.5) to further develop health promotion work in the faculties and departments of the university;

2.6) to contribute to the physical strength, fitness and health of young students, especially girls, to their sports, and to incorporate physical education and sports into their daily lives;

2.7) to increase the desire of the growing younger generation to adhere to a healthy lifestyle, achieve spiritual and physical maturity, and engage in physical education and sports;

2.8) creating conditions for students of universities and other higher educational institutions to conduct physical education classes;

2.9) creating conditions for professors, teachers, employees of universities and other higher educational institutions and their family members, as well as other citizens to engage in sports, improve their health and have a good time;

3. The section "Sports classes" is based on the following:

3.1) voluntary and universality;

3.2) orientation of university members to improve their health and physical activity;

3.3) obligation to undergo medical supervision;

3.4) national values ​​​​and the identity of the regions.

4. The section "Sports classes" is aimed at developing the following physical qualities:

4.1) the level of development of endurance capabilities;

4.2) the level of development of strength capabilities;

4.3) the level of development of flexibility capabilities.

4.4) the level of development of speed and strength capabilities;

4.5) the level of development of the ability to coordinate movements;

4.6) the level of development of acquired practical skills.

5. The “Sports Training” department carries out the following tasks:

5.1) organizes large-scale work on the popularization of physical education and sports among the population, especially among students and youth, together with local government bodies, citizens' self-government bodies, physical education and sports societies, educational institutions, public organizations:

organizes work on the popularization of physical education and sports among the population, especially among students and youth;

promotes the organization and holding of sports and physical education and mass events among the members of the university;

regularly organizes sports and mass and physical education and health-improving events at the university, including national games and competitions in national sports among students and youth, especially among women at the faculty;

comprehensively supports the development of national sports and folk games in the region, ensures the wide promotion and development of national sports in the international sports arena in accordance with the established procedure;

jointly with city universities and other organizations, physical education and sports, including , as well as, promotes the development of scientific research in the field of physical education of the population, implements the results of scientific research into practice and coordinates the implementation of this work;

participates in the organization and holding of the three-stage system of competitions "Student League", "Five Initiatives" and "Universiade" together with state administration bodies and local government bodies;

5.2) to encourage and support the development of professional, mass sports in our country, including sports games and winter sports, to introduce modern technologies into the process of sports training, taking into account advanced international experience, to increase the level and quality of national championships in all sports, to organize international and regional competitions, to encourage systematic measures against unhealthy sports competition and the use of prohibited substances and (or) prohibited methods;

together with state administration bodies, local government bodies, the National Olympic Committee, sports federations and associations, makes proposals for the organization and further development of professional sports in the country;

carries out work on training highly qualified athletes and sports reserves, coordinates the development and specialization of sports schools, clubs and sports training centers, regardless of departmental subordination;

studies the achievements of world scientific and technical progress in the development of physical education and sports in foreign countries, advanced experience, ensures the introduction of these achievements in the republic;

forms a single database of athletes who regularly participate in sports competitions and introduces a system for their regular maintenance;

ensures the participation of athletes of the national sports teams of the Republic of Uzbekistan in individual sports in international sports competitions and physical education and mass events financed from the State Budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan and non-governmental non-profit organizations in the field of sports and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan's own funds;

awards departmental badges to employees who have shown the most exemplary performance in the field of physical education and sports, as well as other persons who have contributed to the development of physical education and sports in the Republic of Uzbekistan;

approves the procedure for awarding sports titles and sports ranks;

develops and submits proposals in accordance with the established procedure on the establishment of awards for outstanding achievements in the field of sports and the awarding of honorary titles of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

nominates employees and specialists in the field of physical education and sports for state awards of the Republic of Uzbekistan for their many years of fruitful activity, special achievements and services in the established procedure and makes recommendations;

5.3) participate in the preparation of proposals for the development and strengthening of the material and technical base of physical education and sports organizations, facilities and structures in the areas of mass sports, children's sports and professional sports, ensuring their maximum and effective use, organizing and expanding the production of sports equipment and inventory in our country;

5.4) organize work on expanding and strengthening international and interstate sports relations in the field of physical education and sports, attracting foreign investments and grants, assisting in the organization of popular sports programs, publishing popular literature in the field of physical education and sports, preparing video and film materials;

5.5) organize the creation and publication of scientific, educational, scientific-popular and mass literature in the field of physical education and sports, as well as the creation of photo and video materials in the field of physical education and sports;

5.6) implements and develops international sports relations, represents the interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan in relations with international sports communities;

5.7) develops international cooperation projects and participates in attracting foreign investments and grants in the field of physical education and sports, ensures the implementation of international treaties of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

5.8) holds conferences, exhibitions and sports competitions, organizes work on attracting foreign investments and grants in the field of sports;

5.9) participates in the organization of popular sports programs, the publication of mass literature in the field of physical education and sports, and the creation of thematic video and film materials together with interested organizations;

promotes famous sports figures, national and foreign invites leading educational specialists from other countries to teach and conduct master classes in sports educational institutions of the republic;
