Today, on February 5, a meeting was held at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage with the participation of professors, teachers, staff members, and the Tourism Academy team.
During the meeting, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Aqqulov delivered a speech and spoke about the work currently being carried out in the tourism sector, the implementation of decisions and decrees adopted by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan aimed at the development of the sector, as well as the tasks that should be implemented at the university and the Tourism Academy in this direction and future plans.

He also touched upon the instructions given by the Honorable President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on January 23, 2026, during his visit to tourism and service facilities located on Zarqaynar Street, Khastimom mahalla, Olmazor district, aimed at further development of the sector and the tasks related to the university becoming a leading higher education institution in this field.

An organizational issue was also considered during the meeting. In accordance with the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, Mukhsin Murodillayevich Kholmukhamedov, who is currently serving as a deputy of the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis, was appointed as the Rector of the Silk Road Tourism University.

During the meeting, Rector Mukhsin Kholmukhamedov spoke about measures aimed at further improving the academic and scientific activities of the university and ensuring the implementation of the assigned tasks.

Also, during the meeting, Professor of the university Jo‘liboy Eltazarov and First Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs Dilmurod Nasimov expressed their opinions and comments on the agenda issue.
