           According to the relevant decision of the Tourism Committee of the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the order of the rector A.A. Abdukhakimov, Doctor of Philology, Professor Juliboy Donaboevich Eltazarov was relieved of the post of First Vice-rector of the university at his own request.

           At the meeting held on this occasion, the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Rector of the University A.A.Abdukhakimov thanked prof. J.Eltazarov for many years of productive work in this position and, according to national traditions, presented him chapan and announced a letter of gratitude.

           University Rector A.A.Abdukhakimov expressed hope thatJ.D.Eltazarov, as a university professor, will take an active part in the future activities of the university. In turn, Prof. J.Eltazarov expressed satisfaction that he made a small contribution to the establishment of  “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, introducing it into the ranks of the leading universities in our country, as well as the process of national accreditation and certification. He also promised to actively participate in the educational, scientific work and international relations of our university in his future activities.

In the prestigious conference London International Model of the United Nations (LIMUN), held on 23-25 February 2024, members of the delegation consisting of students under the leadership of Sanjar Mardonov, a lecturer of the Department of Tourism of our university, took an active part.
LIMUN is the largest university-level UN conference in Europe, with more than 1200 young people from more than 60 countries taking part in it.
At the conference "Humanism in Diplomacy: Revitalising Global Governance", young participants came together to discuss some of the world's global problems and propose solutions. In finding solutions to the problems, they shared the positions of the nations they represented.

We are confident that the experience gained during this conference will play an important role in shaping them as individuals who are harmonious in all respects and ready to tackle the complexities of our globalised world," said Sanjar Mardonov, lecturer at the Department of Tourism.

         On 12 March of this year, Tony Zou, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation of our university, held an online dialogue with representatives of China Shanxi University of Finance and Economics.

         During the meeting, such projects as increasing the pace of educational cooperation between the two universities, as well as working on joint educational programs and scientific research were promoted. In his speech, the Vice Rector said that the areas of cooperation between the two countries mainly focus on education, while today it is necessary to create tourism and cultural heritage in line with the demands of the times.

         Also during the meeting, the vice-rector of Shansi University of Finance and Economics said that in the future it is planned to create joint projects with the co-operation of the two universities.
