The 5th Coordination Meeting of the QUARTZ project took place from the 11th –13th March, 2026 at the University of L'Aquila (Italy). The meeting brought together project partners to review the progress of current activities, discuss implementation strategies and plan the next phases of the project.

During the meeting, participants provided updates and reports on several key work packages, including:

• WP 4: Development of strategic, operational and supporting processes for quality assurance

• WP 5: Testing and implementation - Implementation plan

• WP 6: Quality monitoring - External expert report

• WP 7: Dissemination and sustainability - Reporting and planning activities for the next 6 months

In addition, partners reviewed the Project website and platform and discussed the Action Plan for the next six months.

A special workshop on the implementation of the quality assurance strategy was also held in several thematic sessions:

Part 1 – Guiding principles for quality policy and objectives of the quality policy

• Teaching and student community

Part 2 – Objectives of the quality policy

• Research

• Third mission and society

Part 3 – Assessment and review methodology

• Quality of bachelor and master programs and description of curricula

• Quality of doctoral programs

• Third mission quality and social commitment

Part 4 – Quality assurance teams for assessment and review methodologies

This meeting served as an important platform to further strengthen the cooperation between the project partners, improve quality assurance strategies and ensure the successful implementation of the objectives of the QUARTZ project.
