This year, participants from Azerbaijan, Hungary, and Turkey joined eco-activists from all Central Asian countries - Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

The organizers are the Zamin International Public Foundation, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection, and Climate Change, the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, the Youth Agency, UNICEF, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

The purpose of the event is to highlight the role of youth in the fight against climate change, to provide young eco—activists with the opportunity to put forward their proposals and initiatives, and to promote the integration of the youth environmental movement in these regions.

Within the framework of the camp, seminars will be organized, along with discussions with international experts on topical issues on the climate agenda, as well as the elaboration and discussion of projects that countries plan to present at COP-29, with the possibility of the participation of young eco-leaders in them.

In Samarkand, at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, participants will have active group classes, workshops, and discussion of environmental projects, while in Tashkent, participants will visit eco-schools, Green University, where they will listen to lectures by leading experts in the field of ecology.

As part of the cultural program of the event, the participants visited the historical sights of Samarkand – the Gur-Emir Mausoleum, the Shahi-Zinda complex, and the Ulugbek Observatory.

The event will last until June 30.
