Based on the tasks set forth in the Resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–135 dated April 26, 2023, and No. PQ–269 dated July 18, 2024, a series of meetings were organized in general education schools of the Urgut district to enhance the tourism potential of areas assigned to higher education institutions, to widely promote tourism culture among youth, and to foster their interest in the field.
During these meetings:
Information was provided about the region’s tourism potential, historical and cultural heritage, and natural resources;
The prospects of the tourism sector, opportunities being created for youth, and areas of cooperation with higher education institutions were explained;
To attract students’ interest in tourism, conversations, Q&A sessions, and presentations were conducted.
These meetings generated significant interest among students and teachers in the Urgut district and are expected to contribute to the development of the region's tourism potential.
