At Termiz State University, the opening ceremony of the course “Silk Road Archaeology, Science and Technology, and Cultural Heritage Preservation” was held. This course was organized by Northwest University of China, Termiz State University, and the Termiz Archaeological Museum.The opening ceremony took place on March 23, 2026, at Termiz State University. During the event, the university’s Vice-Rector, Prof. T. Zou, delivered a lecture on “Historical Evolution of Heritage Tourism and Future Trends.” In his speech, Professor Zou discussed the development stages of cultural heritage tourism, current pressing issues, and future prospects.The ceremony was attended by the Rector of Termiz State University, Professor A. Toshqulov; academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and researcher A. Asqarov; Director of the Collaborative Research Center for Silk Road Archaeology, Professor V. Jianxin; Dean of the Faculty of Cultural Heritage at Northwest University of China, Professor Ma Jian; and Director of the Institute of Anthropology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, researcher F. Maqsudov.Participants from the Institute of Anthropology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the National University of Uzbekistan, and nine other higher education institutions attended the event.
