A scientific-practical conference dedicated to the topic “Problems and Prospects of Green Tourism Development in Uzbekistan” was held at Tashkent State University of Economics. Our university’s Vice-Rector for science and innovation, Professor Tongqian Zou, attended this prestigious event as an honorary guest and delivered a scientific lecture on “Green Transformation of Tourism in the Context of Climate Change.”
The conference was also attended by J. Abdusalomov, First Deputy Chairman of the National Tourism Committee; A. Khamzayev, Head of the Ecological Party’s faction in the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan; and others who shared their views on the topic.
The event was organized in cooperation with the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, the National Tourism Committee, and Tashkent State University of Economics. Yang Jie, a lecturer at the School of International Business and Creative Economy of our university, also participated in the conference and delivered her presentation.
During the conference, pressing issues related to the development of green tourism, principles of environmental sustainability, and future prospects were extensively discussed. This event became not only a platform for scientific exchange but also an important step toward the development of sustainable tourism in our country.
