On March 24, 2026, a scientific and practical conference was successfully held at the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage within the framework of the International Festival “Taste of Samarkand”
Within the framework of the conference, topical areas of improving the quality of gastronomic tourism services were discussed and an exchange of views was organized among the participants. Yilmaz and M.Selman, Secretary General of the Pakistan Chefs Association, Executive Director of the Pakistan College of Tourism and Hotel Management – Sh.Mahmud, Young Chef from Kazakhstan – Y.Fakhriyeva, President of the Azerbaijan National Culinary Association – T.Amiraslanov, Director of the Cultural Research Center under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Scientific Secretary of the Institute of Intangible Cultural Heritage – J.Ahmedov and Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Cultural Studies and Intangible Cultural Heritage under the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan – I.Dadajonova participated with their scientific reports.
This conference played an important role in developing scientific potential, exchanging experience and strengthening cooperation in the field of gastronomic tourism.
