• Return to Uzbekistan after completing their studies and continue working there for at least 2 years;

• Hold a bachelor’s degree (for detailed information: Chevening eligibility requirements);

• Have at least 2 years of work experience accumulated after completing their bachelor’s programme (guidelines for calculating work experience hours: Chevening work experience requirements);

• Apply to 3 master’s programmes at UK universities and receive an unconditional offer from at least one of them by mid-July 2027 (for detailed information about eligible master’s programmes: Chevening courses);

• Demonstrate clear goals aimed at developing cooperation between the United Kingdom and Uzbekistan in their field, as well as strong leadership potential.

Chevening Scholarship application process:

• Candidates must complete the online application form via Chevening application portal.

• The first stage of selection is conducted based on the information provided in the application. In particular, four written essays are assessed.

• The second stage is conducted in the form of an interview. Interviews are organised either in person at the British Embassy in Tashkent or online. The interview format will be communicated separately to candidates who progress to the next stage. Candidates who successfully pass the first stage must provide two references before the embassy interview.

• The Chevening Scholarship fully covers tuition fees at the selected UK university, a monthly living allowance, return airfare to and from the UK, arrival and departure allowances, visa fees, as well as travel expenses related to participation in official Chevening events held in the United Kingdom.
