In order to ensure the implementation of Clause 12, Appendix 2 of Decree No. PQ-19 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, dated January 12, 2024, titled "On Additional Measures to Increase Tourist Flow and Further Enhance the Country's Prestige by Widely Promoting the Study of Uzbekistan's History, Culture, Uzbek Language, and Literature in Foreign Countries," a "Literary Evening" and a "Poetry Recital" (Mushoira) were organized for foreign students studying the Uzbek language and literature at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The event, held on March 13, 2026, was initiated by T. Sultanov, Head of the Department of Languages and Global Studies; N. Abduvakhidova, Head of the Department of Youth Affairs, Spirituality, and Enlightenment; and M. Abbasova, Chair of the Women's Council.
The event featured several distinguished guests: Zuhrabegim (Zuhra Eshonqulova), a poetess, Chief Specialist of the Samarkand regional branch of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan, Head of the regional branch of the International Amir Temur Public Foundation, and recipient of the "Ma'naviyat Fidoyisi" badge; Zubaydulla Ibragimov, a poet, member of the Journalists' Union of Uzbekistan, and recipient of the "Ma'naviyat Fidoyisi" badge; and Tozagul Jumanova, a children's author and member of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan. They recited poems from their own works and shared valuable insights with students on literature, spirituality, and creativity. Additionally, international students demonstrated their interest in Uzbek literature by reciting poems in the Uzbek language.
During the event, students recited selections from various Uzbek poems, demonstrating their respect for and interest in Uzbek literature and culture. This event, held in a sincere and creative atmosphere, served to widely promote the Uzbek language and literature among foreign youth, introduce our national culture, and further strengthen the cultural and spiritual ties between representatives of different nations.
