In cooperation with the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Samarkand Regional Sports Department, a table tennis championship was organized among neighborhood school students as part of the 5 Initiatives Project.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by Dilnoza Kattakhonova, First Deputy Director of the Youth Affairs Agency. In her speech, she emphasized the championship’s role in developing a sense of healthy competition, teamwork, and leadership among youth, and underlined the important place of sports in human life.
The event was also attended by Khusan Tukhtaev, Deputy Governor of Samarkand region, officials from the regional sports department, university administration, community leaders, and young participants. The official guests highlighted the growing opportunities being created for youth, the importance of using free time meaningfully, and the need to realize their potential through sports.
The tournament became an excellent platform for boosting interest in sports among youth, creating a healthy competitive environment, and showcasing their talents. The young athletes who took part amazed everyone with their agility, speed, and skill.
The table tennis matches were significant not only for the competition itself, but also for the spirit of friendship, teamwork, and the creation of a positive atmosphere. Winners and prize-winners were awarded diplomas, medals, and souvenirs.
