On February 13, a delegation from Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia visited the “Silk Road” International Research Institute operating under our university. The guests were warmly welcomed by the university rector M. Kholmukhamedov and the institute director M. Yusupova, who held a meaningful discussion on promising projects and joint initiatives.
It is known that cooperation relations with this higher education institution were established in 2025, and the first results of the partnership were demonstrated during the summer of last year. In particular, a group of our scientists and specialists conducted field research in Samarkand together with Malaysian professors and students. During the research, they thoroughly studied the historical and architectural features of the Khoja Ahror Vali Complex, including the Nodir Devon-Begi Madrasa.
At the end of the meeting, the signing of the cooperation memorandum between the Research Institute and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia marked the beginning of a new stage in bilateral relations.
Within the framework of this cooperation, opportunities will expand for conducting joint scientific research, launching academic exchange programs, and studying advanced foreign experience in the field of cultural heritage for young researchers and students. This will serve not only to strengthen scientific potential but also to further develop mutual trust and cooperation in the international scientific arena.
