On May 7, 2026, a guest lecture titled “Event Calendar as a Tool for Shaping Tourism Routes: The Role of Festivals and Celebrations” was organized at “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The invited lecturer was Ekaterina Nikolaevna Zubkova, Lecturer at the Department of Cultural Management and Economics of the Moscow State Institute of Culture. She spoke about the important role of festivals, celebrations, and cultural events in shaping tourism routes, promoting destinations, and developing event tourism.
During the event, special attention was paid to the exchange of experience between the two higher education institutions — “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and the Moscow State Institute of Culture. The lecture gave students an opportunity to become familiar with practical approaches to using an event calendar as an effective tool for tourism planning.
