In order to implement paragraph 14 of Appendix 2 to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PD-19 dated January 12, 2024, "On Additional Measures to Increase Tourist Flow and Further Enhance the Country's Prestige by Widely Promoting the Study of Uzbekistan's History and Culture, Uzbek Language and Literature in Foreign Countries," Dr. Tulkin Sultanov, Head of the Languages and Global Studies Department at the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, delivered a lecture on "Historical, Cultural, and Literary Relations between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan" at the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University in Turkistan, Republic of Kazakhstan on April 4 of this year.
Mustafa Giritlioğlu, Vice-Rector for Finance and International Relations of the University, Mustafa Chetin, Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Turkology, professors, doctoral students, master's students, and undergraduates participated in the event.
During the presentation, detailed information was provided on the long-standing common history of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, the ongoing cooperation in the field of cultural heritage and literary ties. An agreement was also reached to strengthen research and educational programs in cooperation with the Khoja Ahmed Yasawi Kazakh-Turkish International University by organizing short intensive lectures, conducting joint research, and providing young researchers with the opportunity to study and conduct research.
