At the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a roundtable discussion on the topic “Reading Culture” was organized with the participation of first-year students. During the event, students shared their opinions about the literary works they had read, discussed their impressions, and talked about the importance of reading in enhancing human intellect and spirituality.
Special attention during the discussion was given to Abdullah Qodiriy’s famous novel “Bygone Days”. Students analyzed the characters, the development of events, and the main ideas expressed in the work. Through the novel, they discussed the artistic reflection of national values, patriotism, and human virtues.
The roundtable discussion aimed to further strengthen students’ interest in reading, develop independent thinking, and foster literary understanding. Participants noted that such educational and spiritual meetings encourage young people to befriend books and enhance their intellectual potential.
