On April 27–28, 2026, important preparatory activities were carried out in the Surkhandarya region ahead of the international folklore festival Boysun Bahori International Folklore Festival, scheduled for May 1–7.
As part of this process, assistant teachers of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage — Charos Maxmadiyeva, Zarina Maxmudova, and Shohista Toyirova — organized a special training seminar for specialists working in the hotel and restaurant industry.
During the 12-hour program, key topics such as service quality, guest reception and departure procedures, modern management approaches, effective communication with clients, and providing high-quality services to tourists during the festival were thoroughly covered.
Special attention was also given to developing participants’ practical skills through real-life case studies and applied recommendations. Important guidance was provided on managing tourist flows, optimizing hotel occupancy, improving restaurant services, and quickly resolving problematic situations.
At the end of the seminar, participants were awarded certificates by the International Tourism Academy Samarkand campus.
