At the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, a seminar was held for students of the tourism field on the topic “Global Code of Ethics for Tourism.”The main purpose of the event was to form among future tourism specialists an understanding of international ethical standards, the principles of sustainable development, and the concept of responsible tourism.
During the seminar, participants were provided with detailed information about the main principles of the “Global Code of Ethics for Tourism,” adopted by the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism) — including respect for human rights, preservation of cultural heritage, protection of the environment, hospitality, and safeguarding the interests of local communities.
In addition, practical examples were presented to the students on the application of this code in tourism practice, as well as on the importance of ethical responsibility and professional behavior in the tourism sector.At the end of the seminar, students expressed their opinions and suggestions, and discussions and Q&A sessions were held on the ethical aspects of tourism.The event served to enhance students’ professional preparedness, deepen their understanding of global tourism standards, and encourage their practical application.
