An article by the Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations of our university, Toni ZOU, was published in the WoS / Scopus journal Sustainable Futures

An academic article entitled “Ecological restoration policies in arid and semi-arid regions of China: a three-dimensional analytical approach of structure–instrument–effectiveness”, co-authored with Ms. Van Binbin, a master’s degree student of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, and Professor TONGQIAN Zou, was published in Issue 11 (2026) of the journal Sustainable Futures, which is indexed in the WoS/SCOPUS databases.

In this study, based on the VOSviewer method, 178 ecological restoration policy documents published between 2004 and 2024 were analyzed. Through the integration of the three-dimensional analytical model of “structure–instrument–effectiveness”, text mining, policy instrument analysis, the PMC index model, as well as a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods, the strengths and weaknesses of ecological restoration policies in China’s arid and semi-arid regions were comprehensively evaluated.

According to the 2023 Journal Citation Reports (JCR) released by Clarivate, the journal Sustainable Futures belongs to the fields of ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES and GREEN & SUSTAINABLE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY. The journal’s 2023 Impact Factor is 5.4. According to the official Clarivate JCR rankings, the journal is classified as Q1 in GREEN & SUSTAINABLE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY and Q2 in ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES.
