On March 6, 2026, at the UN Tourism thematic office, at the Scientific Seminar under the Scientific Council of the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road” DSc.33/01.02.2022.I.145.01, a discussion of the dissertations was held. In the event two independent researchers of the university, Makhmudova Aziza Pirmamatovna and Kamolova Mohinur Iskandarovna presented their works on the specialty “Tourism and Hotel Activities” 08.00.17.

At the seminar, Aziza Pirmamatovna Makhmudova, presented her dissertation on the topic “Improving the methodological and methodological foundations of the process of diversifying tourism services in the regions” in order to get the academic degree Doctor of Science (DSc) in Economics, and Mohinur Iskandarovna Kamolova, presented her dissertation on the topic “Improving the mechanism for improving the quality of services in the tourism sector” in order to get the academic degree Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics, and information on the results achieved to the seminar members and attendees.

The presentations of independent researchers were positively received by the seminar members and participants, and recommendations were given by the university professors and teachers for continuing their future research.
