On February 18 of this year, a meeting was held in the Assembly Hall of the "Silk Road" International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage. The event, themed "Protecting Youth from the Influence of Radical Ideological Movements," was organized under the slogan "Enlightenment Against Ignorance" with the participation of university officials, active students, and first-year students.

The main goal of the event was to conduct an open dialogue with students, support their progressive ideas and initiatives, jointly discuss existing problems, and exchange views on pressing issues. The meeting was attended by Sohibnazar Boymurodov, head of the regional department of the Samarkand Regional Committee for Religious Affairs. He spoke in detail about the relationship between state and religion, the true humane essence of Islam, the threat posed by radical and extremist ideas to societal development, and the importance of the concept of "Combating Ignorance with Enlightenment," put forward by our President, in the context of globalization.

During the event, the meanings of the concepts of "ignorance" and "enlightenment," their role in ensuring peace and stability, and the necessity of strengthening the ideological immunity of young people were widely discussed. The inhumane activities of destructive movements operating under the guise of Islam were exposed based on concrete facts. At the conclusion of the meeting, experts provided detailed answers to students' questions, and it was emphasized that this event is an important step in forming a healthy worldview in the minds of youth.
