From 23–25 October 2025, the International Symposium “Cultural Heritage of the Turkic World and Its Transmission to Future Generations: Values, Language, Literature, History, Tourism” is taking place in Denizli, Turkey, jointly organized by the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and Pamukkale University.
The opening ceremony featured the national anthems of Uzbekistan and Turkey, followed by a video message from Abdukhakimov Aziz Abdukakharovich, Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Rector of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
Prof. Mahmud Güngör, Rector of Pamukkale University, delivered remarks emphasizing academic collaboration, cultural heritage preservation, and tourism development.
Following this, Turkish folk music concerts, folk dance performances, Turkish cuisine cooking competitions, and Turkish coffee workshops were presented by the students of Pamukkale University.
The symposium included sessions in Hierapolis, Tripolis, and Laodikeia, with more than 100 scholars from Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Karakalpakstan, and Azerbaijan presenting their research.
