In September 2024, at the International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage “Silk Road”, the “Guide-Excursionist Training Course” providing services in Arabic, Japanese, Chinese and other foreign languages had started its activities.
For the 5th group of course participants, classes were organized from November 2025 to February 2026. The lessons were conducted by university professors and qualified guides not only in classrooms, but also in tourist sites of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khorezm, Shahrisabz and Tashkent in both theoretical and practical forms.
At the end of the training course, a final interview was organized in order to assess the knowledge and skills of the participants. It was attended by a commission consisting of professors, experienced guides and university staff. During the interview, the level of readiness of the participants for guiding activities and their knowledge about tourist sites were tested.
Members of the commission provided relevant recommendations and advice to the participants and gave practical instructions on eliminating the identified shortcomings.
