On April 19, a group of students from the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage took a practical trip to the “Khojay Serob ota” pilgrimage site and the ancient Peshagor cave in the Zomin district of Jizzakh region.

The “Khojay Serob ota” pilgrimage site, considered an ancient cultural location, dates back to the 8th–12th centuries and is situated next to the ancient Peshagor cave. The cave is part of a natural complex consisting of four caves. The name “Peshagor” means “threshold” or “entrance to the cave.”

To enter the cave, one must pass through an entrance measuring approximately 1x1.5 meters.

Such rich natural sites once again confirm Uzbekistan’s vast tourism potential.
