The event was organized to implement the resolutions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 26, 2023 (PQ-135) and July 18, 2024 (PQ-269).
The forum was held as part of the events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Bukhara State University.
It was attended by rectors and vice-rectors of leading higher educational institutions of the republic, industry specialists, as well as international partners in the field of tourism.
Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism, F. Zokhidov, participated in the forum.
The agenda included discussions on ensuring employment for tourism graduates, the establishment and activities of the “International Association of Tourism Universities,” priority areas for scientific cooperation in the field of tourism and hospitality, and the role of higher education institutions in the development of tourism and in increasing the tourism potential of regions.
The forum also presented achievements in creating foreign-language content in districts and cities assigned to higher education institutions, organizing short-term courses, expanding student internships, and attracting foreign tourists through international scientific conferences, festivals, and various cultural events.
During the second day of the forum, discussions were held on the implementation of educational programs based on the franchise of France’s Vatel International Business School for Hotel and Tourism Management, as well as other priority areas of tourism and hospitality education.
