Associate Professor of the Tourism Department at our university, Muslima Amiriddinova, in accordance with paragraph 14 of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-19 dated January 12, 2024, participated in a scientific-practical event held at the Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP) in New Delhi, India. During the event, she delivered a presentation on the topic “Cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in the Field of Tourism.” The meeting was attended by Dr. Tanweer Alam, Director of the IIP, the institute’s faculty members, as well as participants from 29 countries who took part under the ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) program.
Throughout the session, the participants discussed in detail the expansion of bilateral cooperation in the tourism sector, the implementation of new joint projects, the development of gastronomic tourism, and the establishment of joint educational programs.
In her speech, Muslima Amiriddinova provided comprehensive information about Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, its rich historical and cultural heritage, national cuisine, and traditions of hospitality. She also emphasized the prospects for strengthening tourism relations between Uzbekistan and India through the organization of joint events, seminars, and conferences aimed at reinforcing cultural and diplomatic ties between the two countries.
