The lecturers of the Tourism Department — X. Ibragimov, M. Amiriddinova, and Ch. Maxmadiyeva — actively participated in the SMART-MET 2026 international conference. They delivered scientific presentations on the following relevant topics:
• “Does Tourism Development Improve Quality of Life in Central Asia?”
• “Sustainable Tourism and Ecological Strategies for Long-Term Restoration in the Aral Sea Crisis.”
During the presentations, the impact of tourism development on the quality of life in Central Asia was thoroughly analyzed. Positive factors related to regional development, employment, and infrastructure improvement were scientifically highlighted. In addition, innovative strategies contributing to ecological restoration through sustainable tourism in the context of the Aral Sea crisis were proposed.
At the end of the conference, the participants were awarded certificates.
