To ensure the implementation of Presidential Resolution No. PQ-161 of April 30, 2026, "On Measures to Accelerate the Development of Tourism Infrastructure in the Regions and Introduce a Project Management System in the Sector," the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage organized дистанционный professional development seminars for tour guides operating in the Republic of Karakalpakstan.

The 20-hour training seminars, held via the Zoom platform from July 20 to 24, 2026, focused on improving the participants' theoretical knowledge and practical skills in tour guiding in line with modern professional standards.

During the sessions, participants received both theoretical and practical instruction on the legal framework of tour guiding, service culture and professional ethics, excursion planning and management, effective communication with tourists, intercultural communication, ensuring tourist safety, and the use of modern information technologies in professional practice.

The seminars were delivered by professors and instructors of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, as well as leading industry experts.

Participants who successfully completed the training program were awarded certificates issued by the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.

These seminars will contribute to enhancing the professional competencies of tour guides, improving the quality of tourism services, and effectively promoting the tourism potential of the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
