Dear professors, dear students and the university community!
Based on the priority tasks identified during the open dialogue of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with youth held on February 24 of the current year at the Koksaroy Residence, the following measures planned for 2026 will be implemented at our university.
1. Training Centers and Quality of Education
By the end of 2026, 15 training centers will be established in Kashkadarya, Surkhandarya, Navoi and Jizzakh regions. These centers will operate with the participation of 20 professors and 50 students. The centers will be fully supported legally and methodologically and will be provided with 1000 teaching manuals.
100 percent of graduates will be ensured to have at least 2 modern professional qualifications, 80 percent will have international language certificates.
2. Student Entrepreneurship and Financial Support
Within the framework of cooperation with 6 commercial banks, in 2026, 150 student business projects will be provided with preferential loans. Every quarter, a “Startup Project” competition will be held, the best 15 projects will be financially rewarded in the amount of 60–120 million UZS. A permanent consulting service will be established by bank specialists.
3. Internship and Employment
In the 2026-2027 academic year, cooperation agreements will be concluded with 70 tourism companies, 40 hotels and 30 museums. 700 students will be covered by internships. Upon completion of the internship, employment of at least 400 graduates will be achieved. Student employment will be brought to 90 percent.
4. Scientific and Innovative Development
Laboratories at the Tourism Academy will be modernized, new modern laboratories will be established. 35 startup projects will be supported. A scientific competition will be held 3 times a year, the best projects will be financially rewarded. 70 scientific articles will be published in international journals, 15 talented students will be sent for foreign internships.
5. International Cooperation and Digital Transformation
Joint programs will be launched with 15 foreign tourism universities. Every year, 70 students will participate in international exchange programs.
In 2026, university classrooms will be fully equipped with digital technologies, 10 online courses will be developed and document circulation will be fully digitized.
6. Main Target Indicators
By the end of 2026:
The contribution to the tourism sector will be increased by 35 percent;
Student employment will be brought to 95 percent;
Non-budget revenues will be increased by 45 percent;
An increase of 60 positions in international rankings will be ensured.
The implementation of 45 tasks and 25 target indicators defined at Koksaroy will be under my personal control.
