Samarkand and Nara are bound by ties of friendship, and today, on April 17, as part of their visit to Samarkand, a delegation led by Gen Nakagawa, the mayor of Nara, Japan, visited the ''Silk Road'' International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
The university administration warmly welcomed the guests and provided a detailed introduction to the institution, which is the only one of its kind in Central Asia specializing in the international training of professionals in the fields of tourism and cultural heritage.
The gallery of traditional clothing of Turkic peoples and the art exhibition on the university’s smart campus left a strong impression on the visitors. During the visit, the delegation will also get acquainted with the activities of the Tourism Academy affiliated with the university.
