Today, March 25, a meeting was held in the university’s main hall between the rector and first-year students. The event took place in the format of an open dialogue. At the beginning, the names of students who had shown outstanding activity throughout the academic year in studies and organizational work, published scientific articles, and achieved victories in several sports were announced and warmly applauded by the participants.
After that, an open discussion began between the university rector, Muhsinjon Kholmukhamedov, and the students. Various proposals and initiatives were expressed by the students, including the purchase of certain rare books in demand and the establishment of a “Gifted Students” club aimed at learning how to write scientific articles. These proposals were supported, and it was noted that necessary measures would be taken and concrete solutions implemented.
The rector also spoke about the importance of students acquiring knowledge and the need to continuously encourage those who achieve high results.
At the end of the meeting, certificates approved by the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Q. Sharipov, were awarded to the state scholarship holders named after Islam Karimov and Alisher Navoi — Shakhrizoda Sirojiddinova and Muxlisa Samiyeva.
