Within the framework of the 20th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CITES Convention (CITES CoP20), dedicated to regulating international trade in endangered species of wild fauna and flora and currently taking place in Samarkand, the “Samarkand – 2025” IV International Sculpture Symposium continues in a unique creative atmosphere.
Organized under the motto “Our Planet – Our Home!”, this prestigious art event has turned into a distinctive platform for creativity. The talented students of the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, while closely observing the symposium, were able to witness the diversity of global sculptural schools and approaches embodying the harmony between art and nature.
Renowned sculptors from nearly ten countries are bringing granite stones to life based on 12 selected sketches. These sketches were chosen as the finest works from more than 300 submissions presented by 150 sculptors, making them particularly significant.
