At the opening ceremony of the event held under the slogan "An Athlete is a Defender of the Nation!", the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, Q. Sharipov, along with other government-level officials, spoke about the importance of sports competitions among youth. Following this, a symbolic ceremony to launch the sports month under the same slogan was held with the participation of all the leaders.
Starting today, the first phase of the sporting events has begun in all higher education institutions and technical colleges across the republic, particularly in Samarkand.
