Today, on June 2, the session titled “Promoting the Preservation and Development of the Historical Capital Cities of Uzbekistan and China” was held at the ''Silk Road'' International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, as part of the “Forum on Innovative Cooperation in Education, Science, and Technology” within the framework of the Second Uzbekistan–China Interregional Forum.
Rectors and professors from leading universities who spoke at the session discussed current cooperation in the education system, its practical outcomes, and future directions.
Additionally, important topics such as cultural tourism, ancient archaeological complexes, and Samarkand’s role along the Great Silk Road were discussed during the event.

In order to create the necessary conditions for students studying archaeology and cultural heritage, an International Joint Scientific and Technical Laboratory for the Protection of Archaeology and Cultural Heritage was established at the ''Silk Road'' International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in cooperation with Northwest University of China.
