In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-128 dated March 15, 2024, “On measures to prepare for the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference to be held in Samarkand in 2025”, and based on the schedule approved by the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a series of professional development courses for guides, excursion leaders, and tour instructors are being organized at the ''Silk Road'' International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage from October 13 to 17, 2024, as part of the preparations for this major upcoming event.

During the courses, experienced and qualified specialists are providing participants with essential recommendations and guidance in the following areas:

• Accurate translation and interpretation of topics discussed during international sessions;

• Authenticity and reliability of historical information during visits to cultural and historical sites;

• Dress code, etiquette, and professional conduct standards;

• Practical advice on professional speech and communication culture.

These training courses aim to further enhance the professionalism of guides, elevate the standards of tour guiding, and prepare highly qualified specialists with a strong sense of culture and readiness for international-level events.
