Today, on January 2, a spiritual and educational event titled
“The Heritage of Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur as the Rich Spiritual Treasure of the Uzbek People”
was organized for students by M. Abbasova, Chairperson of the Women’s Advisory Council of the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage and G. Quldoshova, a dormitory pedagogue-educator. The event was dedicated to the birth anniversaries of the great poet and thinker Alisher Navoi and the renowned poet and statesman Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.
As part of the event, J. Eltazarov, Director of the Center for Languages and Cultures of the Peoples of Central Asia at Samarkand State University named after Sh. Rashidov, delivered a lecture.
During the literary evening organized by students residing in the student dormitory, participants recited ghazals and rubaiyat from the works of Alisher Navoi, the sultan of poetry, and the poet-king Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur in various languages, and presented theatrical performances.
