From September 25–27, 2025, the prestigious international GLOBAL FOOD SUMMIT was held in New Delhi, India, where Acting Associate Professor of the Tourism Department of our university, Muslima Amiriddinova, represented the institution and delivered a speech on “The Value of Food in Uzbekistan.”
The summit gathered leading experts from around the world, who presented insightful lectures on food security, global food policy, standardization, and its socio-economic significance. Among them were highly regarded specialists in their respective fields.
In her presentation, Acting Associate Professor Muslima Amiriddinova elaborated on Uzbekistan’s national cuisine, the historical and cultural value of food products, and the development of restaurants and gastronomic directions within the tourism sector. She emphasized that gastronomic tourism has become one of the key global trends today, and highlighted the vast potential of Uzbekistan in this field.
Furthermore, within the framework of the summit, Muslima Amiriddinova actively participated in the ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) program, which provided her with the opportunity to exchange experiences with other participants and to strengthen international cooperation ties.
