These days, in the magnificent city of Samarkand, during the events of UNESCO’s 43rd session, 325 talented and active students from the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage are proudly participating.
Although our students are at different stages of their studies, they actively serve as volunteers across all levels of the session — VIP, SIP, and general guest services.
Most importantly, their work as tour guides and interpreters at UNESCO’s main events, hotels, and historical monuments has left a strong impression on the guests. By freely conversing in English with the visitors, our students demonstrate their high level of knowledge, intellect, and professional skills.
According to the data, more than 5,000 participants from 194 countries, along with 400 staff members from the UNESCO Secretariat, are taking part in the 43rd session and its associated events.
Participation in such a prestigious international forum undoubtedly plays a significant role in shaping our students into highly skilled, knowledgeable, and culturally competent professionals in the future.
