On October 28, 2026, an information session dedicated to the Türkiye Scholarships program was organized at our university on the initiative of the Department of Languages and Global Studies. The event was attended by representatives of Türkiye’s Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), Servet Turan and Ömer Seyithanoğlu.

Türkiye Scholarships is an international scholarship program supported by the Government of Türkiye, providing foreign students with the opportunity to pursue undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees. Coordinated by YTB since 2012, the program opens doors to international education for thousands of young people every year.

According to official YTB data, in 2026, a total of 188,939 applications were submitted from 181 countries. Approximately 5,000 international students receive scholarships annually. Within the framework of the grant, selected candidates receive benefits including university and degree program placement, full tuition coverage, a monthly stipend, accommodation, health insurance, round-trip airfare, and Turkish language courses. Privileges and grant terms are determined in accordance with the chosen educational program and applicable requirements.

During the session, the application stages for the Türkiye Scholarships program, candidate eligibility criteria, guidelines for preparing necessary documentation, and key aspects of the selection process were discussed in detail. Students gained valuable insights into study opportunities in Türkiye and had the chance to address their specific questions to program representatives, receiving comprehensive answers.
