Invitation to an International Scientific and Practical Conference

An international scientific and practical conference entitled “Creativity in the Transition to a Green Economy: Digital Innovations and Sustainable Tourism” will be held in Samarkand on 11–12 December 2026.

The conference is jointly organised by the Silk Road International Research Institute, the “Silk Road” International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, the Samarkand Campus of the International Tourism Academy, and the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Heritage Tourism along the Silk Roads.

The main objective of the conference is to foster scientific cooperation among local and international scholars, industry professionals, and young researchers working in the fields of the green economy, digital innovation, and sustainable tourism, while promoting the exchange of innovative ideas and best practices.

The conference will address a range of pressing issues, including the role of creativity and digital technologies in the transition to a green economy; ensuring environmental sustainability in tourism; the efficient use of resources and improvement of energy efficiency; the management of green projects through digital innovation; ecotourism and cultural heritage preservation; the development of smart tourism destinations; and emerging trends in international tourism markets.

Faculty members, academic researchers, doctoral candidates, and master's students interested in participating are invited to submit their research papers and abstracts. Contributions will be accepted in Uzbek, Russian, and English.
